Getting in the Christmas Spirit, LOWE STYLE

Sawyer, I mean Spiderman and Maci Decorating

Braxton posing for a picture

Yep, this is the way we decorate the house LOWE STYLE, or should I say... this is what we wear to decorate our house!

No decorations at the top of the tree

Last night, we had Spider Man aka "Really mommy it is not spider man, IT'S ME SAWYER!" and Maci with just her diaper on decorating the tree. Braxton did have a Christmas shirt on at least, but had his Lighting McQueen PJ pants on.   They put LOTS of Christmas ornaments under the tree and LOTS on the same branch.  IN fact in a few pictures you will see multiple ornaments, 3,4,5 and even maybe 6 piled up on each other.  Scott even fixed them a GROSS Peasant foot to hang up on the tree, and they liked that a lot.   I am facing the fact that we are a upper class redneck family... anyone who hangs a Peasant Foot on their Christmas tree, with a baby in just their diaper, is definitely upper class a redneck.  When we finished decorating the tree, their was lots of ornaments at the bottom of the tree, below the tree and on just a few branches of the tree.... so even though I left some where the crazy kids placed them, I did move a few so it looked like the tree was a little more "even".

Peasant Foot Decoration (In Braxton hand... Isn't it GROSS Nice?)

3 Silver balls on one Branch
And 5 ornaments on one branch above that...
Nice and spread out!

She was in her Christmas Dress today...
So she is not always REDNECK Diaper baby
I had to put one picture on here to show that we are a normal family.

Tonight they were irritating begging me to decorate the upstairs tree since we didn't have time to do it last night before bedtime.  So tonight we had Buzz Lightyear helping us, and Braxton Hardee Lowe as he so confidently says what he name is, was JUNGLE BOY (what they call themselves when they only have underwear on)with a Frog hat on and  he also had his fake FROGS in the hat as well.   He hid them there because he shares so well.

We're DONE!!!  I think????

I hope you enjoyed the Griswold  LOWE FAMILY DECORATION NIGHTS!

Where do babies come from???

Yep, had to have the conversation AGAIN for the second time in 4 months! First time, we were praying for a friend of mine whom has not had luck getting pregnant and we were praying for her to have a baby. He asked lots of questions than... to long to go into again, but I convinced him that the baby comes out of the baby hole. HE was satisfied, BUT I didnt' ask him where he thought the baby hole was. I am pretty sure he thought it was the belly button.

So here we are sitting at the dinner table, me, Maci, Braxton and Mr. Full of Questions Sawyer.

"Mommy, where was I when you were a little girl? In your tummy?"

" NO son, only God knew about you when I was a little girl."

"Mommy, when I grew in your belly, where did I come out?"

Me thinking..... "Nooooooooo, not again!" "Well, son you came out of my belly."

"Did they cut me out of your belly?"

Me thinking, "Why couldn't I have had a c-section so I wouldn't have to tell him the truth."
"Well, son, you came out something called a birth canal."

"Mommy, where is the birth canal?"

NOt only am I thinking.... NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO.... but here is my other little blue eyed booger (Braxton) staring at me with his big eyes just as curious as Sawyer.

"Well Sawyer, the birth canal is down there where mommy pee's."

SAWYER SCREAMING.... "I came out of your BUTT!!!!?????"
Me RESPONDING....." No son you came out of the birth canal."
SAWYER SCREAMING....." I came out of your BUTT?????!!!!"
Me Responding...." No son."

Conversation ENDED! No more questions.... two little boys sitting there with fear in their eyes... and probably no more questions about where babies come out of anytime soon!

Whewwww.

Party Pecan Tree

Sawyer asked me why we don't have a Pecan tree and Grandaddy and Grandma do.  I told him that by the time we planted a pecan tree and it grew then it would be HIS kids that would be getting Pecan's from the tree and not him.

He proceeded to tell me that he was going to plant a Pecan tree, so that EVERYBODY could come to his house and pick them up.  It was going to be the Party Pecan Tree.  He was also going to buy a Car"V"  (aka RV, that is what he calls it) with a BIG roof so that EVERYBODY could live with him.  He was also going to build everyone a house out here so that everyone could live out here with him and his Party Pecan tree!

Sounds good to me?  What about ya'll????

Braxton's BD Party

An Excavator party is what he wanted for months... it then turned into a "Dress Up" party yesterday after he got his IRON MAN Costume. However, I think everyone was a little tired of the DRESS UP after Halloween, except for the Lowe boys, so only my boys were dressed up. I didn't think Braxton noticed, until he was going to bed that night and he said, "Nobody dressed up." Funny how things go noticed by little kids and you don't even realize.
We had all the family come stay and party with us!!! Reagan, Jackson, Hayes, Dalton and Parker all came and Braxton was so excited!
Maci played up her cuteness with all the family saying..."Hey you think I am cute? Me? really?"
Braxton got lots of cool gifts, and he looked so cute in this cowboy hat I just had to take his picture! It is not your real birthday yet... so I will still call you my favorite 2 year old for a few more days! Love you son!

Octopus Prime

Octopus Prime... that is what Sawyer calls him! Look at my cool little man. I bought him this transformers costume today at Wal-Mart 75% off and he was more excited about this then anything I can remember.

We have TRANSFORMERS DVR'ed and I promised we would watch it tonight. He kept asking... where is Octopus Prime Mommy???? Patience son, patience.

When Octopus Prime came up... the face mask went on his face, the feet were kicking from excitment and he was screaming out loud, "That's me, that's me!" So funny how just last year he was terrified of mask, and now here he is wearing one to watch this movie!!!

I will miss...

Braxton you will be 3 years old in a week.... so here are some things I will miss about my little hersey kiss!

One day I will miss the slow dances that we pretend to have with your head on my shoulder, while you are giving me a turtle love!
I will miss the giggles that you always seem to have plenty of.
I will miss the serious face that you give everyone.
I will miss, "MOMMY I'M dooooooone". (although I will not miss the wiping part)
I will miss the way you call Maci "Stacey".
I will miss "Can I watch Dora" for the 100th time a day.
I will miss those innocent blue eyes that are honestly innocent.
I will miss you hanging on my leg and me dragging you around the house pretending you are not there, even though you are like dead weight to me... but it does make my floors are little bit cleaner after we make our rounds through most of the downstairs.
I will miss the way you are not embarrassed by kissing me in public... you actually think it is really cool!
I will miss you wanting me to show you the duck with HAIR on its head in the duck book daddy gave you.... and you laughing uncontrollably EVERYTIME you see it! "That's funny" you say.
I will miss how when daddy puts you down some nights, you always request to see me before you go to sleep.
I will miss how we do our pretend snoring at night and we just laugh and laugh because it is so loud.
I will miss our nose kisses.
I will miss your baby voice!

I will miss all of that.... however I am so happy that you are growing up to be a strong and healthy little boy and I am excited for what comes in the future!

You will.....

... be embarrassed one day for kissing me over and over while you are on the toilet letting a stinky out! :-)
... be very happy about our night time "pretend" snoring that we laugh and laugh about!
... be lucky to have many great grandparents that live either right beside you are within 2 hours of us.
... be glad that we live on land that you can experience things that most kids will never dream of experiencing. "Cows, family, shops, skids steers, barns, dirt, rocks, trees, golf carts, cousins, grandparents"

... be fortunate that we punished you for throwing a tantrum before going up stairs to bed.

... be smart for all the books we read together.
.... be silly for all the tickles you get from everyone that loves you!

... be creative for all the "pretend" play we played together. Mommy is the kid, Sawyer is the mommy and Braxton is the daddy... yep mommy played that one UP!

... be smart for all the times I make you wright your name.
... be glad for all the times you have spent with your grandparents and all the memories you are creating.

... be sensitive for all the times I tell you that "you hurt mommy's feelings" to make you understand that you have to be respectful.

... be funny for all the crazy dances that mommy does to make you laugh.

... be respectful of others for all the spankings you get when you misbehave! I promise one day you will understand.

... be blessed for us introducing you to GOD and Jesus by saying our prayers every night and before every meal.
... be passionate about whatever life presents to you because you are taught to appreciate everything.
... be a go getter because we don't allow the word "CAN'T" in this household.

... be well rounded for all the opportunities that have been presented to you.

You will understand one day how much a parent can love their child, ONE DAY, when you are not pretending that "I" am your child and you have one for your own. You tell me that you love me more then you can imagine, but your imagination is limited at this time... and it will be until you have a child of your own (and please let that child be when you are married and at least in your 20's!). God bless my kids... I love them so much!
