What do kids worry about?

As we are sitting there everyday what do we as adults worry about? Well let's start with....
1. Something happening to our kids.
2. Being able to pay the bills.
3. Getting our work done on time.
4. Cleaning the house.
5. Going to the grocery store or all the laundry piled up!!!

We dream at night about it, talk in our sleep about it and sometimes can't even sleep because we are so worried about what is going on in our lives.

What do kids worry about??? Well I walked in Sawyer's room tonight to check on him before I go to bed. He was fast a sleep, looking so sweet. I tucked him under his covers, kissed his cheek and started to walk out of the room... until I hear him whimpering....
"Mommy, I don't want my fish." (Fish is his favorite stuffed animal he usually sleeps with).

I thought he was awake and telling me this because I came in the room, but NOPE, he was talking in his sleep! Yep, the things kids worry about and dream about... which stuff animal they are going to sleep with!! OH to be a kid again!!!

Sawyer's BIG Day!!!

Brittany made him cupcakes!!! (and they were good!)

He got pizza for dinner!!! (I was glad he asked for that)
He got presents first thing in the morning!!

He got to play in his new pool we bought him!!!
He got money!!!
Parker came to visit!!!
He got his BIG BOY BIKE!!!

Look how excited he was.... and he rides it like a BMX rider! Things he did: Going down hill on the sidewalk and sliding to the side, sticking his foot out while his training wheel comes off the ground while just missing the side of the truck during the turn, falling off the bike and sliding on his knees after making a turn and grinning after he did it. (Thank God for the helmet and knee pads Jo Jo got him). What am I in for??? Watch out X-Games, here he comes!

Happy Birthday to my oldest son!!!

4 years old already!!! Man how time flies by. I can honestly remember laying on the couch having contractions 4 years ago....and at 2:08 pm (after 15 hours of labor and a kidney stone) I finally became a mother. The most wonderful experience that I had ever experienced in my entire life... creating another life! My first son.

Sawyer has been a lot like my labor to think of it. He is a whirlwind of energy, excitement, and "wonderfulness". (Is that a word?) He has been a pain in my behind sometimes, just like that horrible kidney stone was during labor, but over all the outcome was well worth the pain!

One thing I am not going to be sad of saying goodbye to is "3". 3 has been the worst year so far... at least for Sawyer. It is weird, because about 3 weeks ago there has been a light switch that has gone off in Sawyer head. He has just started behaving more and more loving towards me, Scott and Braxton. He has always been sweet to Maci, but the other people in the house, it was a challenging year. Just the change in him has changed the entire dynamics of this house for the good. Amazing how one little kid can have so much power!

But more importantly, it is his 4th birthday and the kid is so dag on excited he doesn't even know what to do!!! He is one of the most amazing little boys I have ever been around (I know, he is mine and that is why I think that, but that is okay!). Here are some of the reason why we love him so much around here:

He is exciting, full of energy, FULL of questions about everything... and when I mean full of questions, he doesn't just talk anymore, he just ask questions! He is sweet and caring and such a good brother, especially to Maci. He is so protective of her and make sure she isn't doing anything she isn't' suppose to be doing, like eating left over food on the floor, or climbing up the stairs! He plays with his brother like he is his best friend, but fights with him like he his big brother. He is athletic and smart and just absolutely wonderful!!! He is my first born!!!

We love more then you will ever imagine Sawyer Thomas Lowe!!! Happy 4th birthday!

What is Lightening?

I was reading the boys a book tonight about Thunder and Lightening. The question came up..."What is lightening?" So I asked them.

Here are there responses:

Sawyer : "CRACK"
MY HEAD WAS THINKING: "Well, some people on Crack might feel like that... not sure!"
WHAT I SAID: "Chuckle", I guess it could make a cracking noise."
Sawyer: "Fire, mommy, Fire"
WHAT I SAID: "Good job honey, it is a lot like fire in the sky."
Braxton: "Race Car"
WHAT I SAID: "I didn't even think of that Braxton, Lightening McQueen is a race car!"
WHAT I WAS THINKING: "Man, adults have such a one track mind, how neat it is to hear what the kids really think something is!!!"

Quick blog.... got so much to do!!!
